Think Pink's in Hollywood

Pink's Hotdogs have been an institution in Hollywood for years. On a recent trip to the LA area, I was finally able to indulge in this hotdog mecca. The dogs at Pink's are amazing and worth the wait in line. They literally 'snap' when you bite into them and you can taste the beef and quality spices. The homemade chili and homemade kraut I opted for to top my dog were both good, together with the dog I was in hotdog heaven. The rings were crispy and perfect with some extra salt.

I loved that at Pink's the menu items are listed by famous actors and the options are many and diverse. You will be thankful for the line because you need that time to read all the signs and select the right dog for your mood. If I had been in town longer and my food 'must eats' list wasn't so long, I would have come here several times. Pink's is open 24/7, so your hotdog fix can be had anytime. Onion Burger Heaven at Tuckers

Tucker's Onion Burgers burst onto the scene in OKC with a lot of hype. Their version of the onion burger is messier then the classics found in El Reno but still dang tasty. In case you don't know what a true onion burger is let me help you. A classic OK onion burger has the thinly cut white onions smashed into the top of a thin patty cooked on a flattop grill. The onions and burger cook together, allowing the flavors to combine to perfection!

Tucker's has good onion burgers in both beef and turkey. The thin hand cut (McDonalds style) fries are crispy but still have a soft potato center making them a perfect side. Tucker's also creates traditional milkshakes which are so thick you need to use a spoon! Mutt's Hotdogs-one of my favorites in OKC

Who wouldn't want to devour those amazing chili cheese fries?! I will admit to eating these fries as a meal unto themselves, that I couldn't even finish. The hand-cut fries are amazingly crispy, then covered with a Cincinnati style chili before being sprinkled with cheese and onion. Oh my goodness, I am drooling on the keyboard just writing this.

Oh, did I forget to mention that these fries are at a hotdog place. And not just any hotdog place, but one that serves at least 20 different styles of hotdogs including hotdogs made of rabbit, lamb, chicken, falafal and of course beef.
